Here, in nine stages, is what's involved in devising, designing, implementing and maintaining a renewable energy supply using ground source energy. • Site Technical Investigation
  We carry out a full desktop study. This includes a review of local geology, history and ground conditions. Our state of the art modelling software reviews parameters to ensure good building plans and specifies the number of bore holes required and calculates all associated costs for the project.

• Geological Survey
  If we believe that there is any question regarding the suitability of conditions from the desk top survey, we will carry out a full geological survey, including drilling a test borehole and taking soil samples where necessary.

• Thermal Modelling
  We complete a modelling process that includes weather data for the area. With this data, we model heating and cooling cycles and project the most efficient and appropriate heating and ventilation systems for any building. We also supply calculated running costs and energy consumption. This allows clients to see the effectiveness of a renewable energy solution on their project. By using our powerful IES modelling system, we can explore "what if." scenarios and offer clients various design and cost options.

• Technical Support For Planning Applications
  We provide all the data you need to create an accurate business case for the project. Our data is of sufficient quality to support a planning application and to demonstrate the renewable energy content of a building. We provide quality, certified, professional technical liaison with the local planning department.

• Financial Modelling
  We review systems' output to provide a best, middle, and worst-case scenario for each project. We will supply supporting data to give appropriate levels of confidence, so that you can make informed decisions.

• Design and Project Management
  Working with the Rolton Group ensures that we have access to qualified chartered engineers, experienced in each stage of the process. Our contractors have 20 years experience and an annual turnover of £35m ensuring that all plant and labour is provided from a single contracting partner to guarantee the consistent high-quality implementation across the UK.

• Site Management and Installation
  Site management is carried out in line with all Health and Safety requirements and CDM (Construction Design and Management) legislation. Installations are verified with our test rig and we carry out risk assessments at every stage of a project. The process is unobtrusive and efficient, with minimal interference to the site.

• Commissioning
  The system is commissioned in accordance with all current guidelines. We also install, at no additional cost, a remote monitoring module to allow Cool Planet to ensure the system runs at its optimum level. In the unlikely event of any problems, we would be notified immediately and look to resolve any problems.

• Maintenance Support
